Meditation on Yom Kippur
Rozann Kraus
Shattered shuddered suddenly the apple told us it was allergic to honey since childhood or seedhood or would that we could try again this year already I’ve lost my way forgot the magic bracha words worlds away from where I pray today the nowness so newly like all the other times gone wrong. this song is my heart loud enough? sweetly pure enough to get a toe hold leg up grip the future full on and humble oh, second chance and coming betray me not as I clamber to open the gates of truth toothless, tired afraid and flawed I pound my heart and wait. |
